Brother Fire
Brother Fire is the guardian of fire and sun and brings warmth and heat. He acts as a catalyst and changes substances and situations. Brother Fire is said to reside on the Isle of Isati, in Berdea, a volcanic island which Brother Fire's anger can cause to erupt. Brother Fire may correspond to the Kashiqi god Maliq since Brother Fire is seen by Berdeans as being constructive as well as destructive and is associated with metalwork and cooking and hardening clay, for example.
The animal associated with Brother Fire is the bee, for it contains fire within just like he does.
Brother Fire is represented by the firegems found on the Isle of Isati, under the Tree of Ages. It is said that the firegems came about when Brother Fire caused the island to erupt and the fruits of the tree were turned into jewels. They in turn remind the people of Brother Fire's great mercy i sparing the Tree of Ages, and of course the fleeing women. Firegems can be found in a range of colours, from a light yellow through to a very dark red; the colours of the fire.
The ceramic models of the Elemental family were made by me as I explored them in my writing, and as examples of what Brother Zaan's wood carving might have looked like. They are just one interpretation of an invisible entity.
Brother Fire has a robe coloured red and orange and yellow. The other colour which can be associated with Brother Fire is black, for the things that are burnt in the flames. His robe is also decorated with the sun, which he is also represented by. He holds in his palm a bee, the creature he created, whcih hold fire in its sting.
